Support our mission
Donate
In good hands
The Rembrandt Association is an ANBI with a CBF seal of approval. All donations are handled with the utmost care. As a registered charity we are exempt from standard gifting taxation, so any donation objective will enjoy full benefits from your gift.
Unfortunately, Dutch art museums are not automatically enriched with exceptional art on a daily basis. This takes time, effort and resources. Public contributions play a major part in this process. By donating to the Rembrandt Association, you enable art museums throughout the Netherlands to make their collections even more engaging and diverse. Every donation - small or large, periodic or one-time - can make a difference.
Fiscal advantages
Did you know that a gift to the Rembrandt Association fully benefits our goals, but can cost you less net because the government helps pay for it?
How can I donate?
- One-time donation
You can make a one-time donation via NL21 ABNA 0252 2008 61 (BIC: ABNANL2A) in the name of the Vereniging Rembrandt, stating 'donation'. Are you already a member of our Association? If so, please state the membership number that appears on your Rembrandt Card. - Periodic donation
If you would like to donate a fixed annual amount (starting at 100 euros) for a minimum of five years, you can enter into a periodic donation agreement. You can find the form for this agreement here (in Dutch). These donations are fully deductible. Note: from a periodic donation of 350 euros per year you are eligible for a master membership. Read more about the possibilities here (in Dutch). - Donate in natura
If you decide to donate one or more works of art to the Rembrandt Association, we will do our utmost to place them in the most suitable museum. Click here for more information (in Dutch).
Focussed giving
Themed Fund
From 1,000 euros - periodically or as a one-off donation - you can support purchases from your favorite collecting area through a Themed Fund or Open Fund. As with any other donation to the Rembrandt Association, tax advantages apply. Through one of our Master memberships you can also enjoy the best possible reciprocal benefits.

Concrete and personal
Named Fund
With a donation starting at €75,000 (or €15,000 per year for five years), it is possible to establish a Named Fund. This way you can support the purchase of art that is dear to you, but also make research or restorations possible. The name of the fund is mentioned with the artwork, research or restoration project you support.

Do you manage a foundation or fund with a mission to promote art and culture? A Named Fund allows you to transfer (part of) your assets to the Rembrandt Association. You decide which projects and/or acquisitions are supported from your fund. The Rembrandt Association is responsible for the support, assessment and processing of applications. We will also organize personal receptions for applications that have been supported from your fund.
Donating from abroad
Would you like to donate from abroad? Through Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) this is possible with tax advantages. UK residents can use the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) and US residents can use the King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS) and The Netherland-America Foundation (NAF). We would be happy to tell you more about the tax advantages of giving from abroad, but because they vary from country to country, we especially recommend that you contact your tax advisor.
Every donation is welcome
Whatever form of giving you choose, every amount is welcome. The Rembrandt Association regularly receives donations collected at a birthday party, and there is also a member who donates the amount she saved on museum visits at the end of each year using her Rembrandt card. We are thrilled with these kinds of donations. Not only because they can actually make a difference, but also because they demonstrate a deeply felt commitment to the mission of the Vereniging Rembrandt.
